Dear friends - just wanted to wish you a great 2014 - in an original way...

I've been learning about the Principles of Success for many many years. In fact, I can even recall that my Saxophone Professor back in college started giving me books about personal development back when I was 19! 
I wasn't fully aware of what I was doing back then, but I really related to the principles and already started applying things like the Law of Attraction and Visualization Techniques. (I will be talking about those in the near future)

Today, I want to cover something a little more fundamental. 
I want to talk to you about "Success".
The definition of Success (Oxford) is:
noun [mass noun]  The accomplishment of an aim or purpose:

•  The attainment of fame, wealth, or social status.
  
•  [count noun] A person or thing that achieves desired aims or attains fame, wealth, etc.

Origin: mid 16th century: from Latin successus, from the verb 
succedere 'come close after'.
Earl Nightingale - one of the most known teachers and perhaps one of the founders of the "Personal Development" industry defines Success:
"Success is the progressive realization of a worthy goal or ideal".

The former talks about the end result, the latter talks about the progress. Of course they are both correct depending on the situation, but let me ask you this: if a person is "A Success", does that mean that they are "Successful"?
Let me give you an example: I'm sure you know people who have a very "Successful Career", but are hugely overweight, or don't see their family at all, or never ever hang out with their friends or watch a movie.
Another example is a person who has achieved a "Spiritual Enlightenment", but can't afford a new pair of sandals. Both are examples of individuals who have achieved great success in a certain area of life, but are failing in other areas immensely.

Great mentors such as Zig Ziglar, Bob Proctor, Dr. John DeMartini and Tony Robbins teach about the 7 areas of life:

Each of them teach a little differently, but the idea is the same:
If you want to be successful in life, you must master the 7 areas of your life. By "Master" I mean achieve success in each of these areas. 
Now - most people's subconscious would object - "I can barely create success in ONE area, how do you want me to achieve success in all 7??"

That's a great question!
The answer is simple: use Earl Nightingale's definition for success:
"Success is the progressive realization of a worthy goal or ideal".
All you need to do right now is choose your goals or ideals for 2014, 
then start realizing them right now! RIGHT NOW!
It's possible, and it's simple. Start with small goals like:

• This year I will release 10 pounds. 
  
• This year I will earn an additional 5K. 
  
• This year I will spend 1 hour per week with my family/spouse/kids.
• This year I will walk/run/bike/meditate once per week.
• This year I will read another 5 books...

Now after you have your 7 new goals in front of you, rephrase them into affirmations like this:
I'm so happy and grateful that I weigh (your weight minus 10 pounds).
or
I'm so happy and grateful that I'm making (your income + 5K) this year.

Now while you're reading these 5 times per day - GET EXCITED!
THIS IS YOUR LIFE - MAKE THE MOST OUT OF IT - BECOME SUCCESSFUL IN EVERY AREA OF LIFE AND INSPIRED OTHERS!!!
YES YOU CAN!
Let's make 2014 the best year EVER!

We have recently moved from Tel Aviv to Givaataim (a suburb just a few minutes away).  I usually run twice a week. Those of you who run regularly know that if we run outside, we tend to find a suitable route and just follow that route pretty much every time we run.
When living in Tel Aviv, which is mostly flat, if I wanted to change things a little, I'd change my speed or how far I'd run. Givaataim is quite different: it's built on two hills - what a concept!
Either way, it's been a couple of months since we moved, and I've pretty much established a nice route. Until today, I've always turned right at a certain point, because going straight means running up a very steep hill,
which is very hard in the middle of the run.. 
Until today I havn't gone straight - I just wouldn't even try.
WHY? 
The voice inside my head always said: "You're already running, turning right also means going uphill, but it's not as bad. Why do you need to excert yourself completely?" So I just let go - I never even tried.
I've been doing the same thing for a couple of months - dozens of times!!!
This morning, however, while I was running on the same street, I looked straight ahead and asked myself: "Why have I never gone straight?" and when the answer hit me, I decided that second to keep going straight.
Keep running straight in spite of how hard it may be! 
And I did! I ran all the way up, and didn't stop... SUCCESS!!!

Boy - was it hard....
But interestingly enough not as hard as I had imagined...
Then I reached the top of the hill and I was running up there with a wonderful feeling of joy and accomplishment - and of course the view was breathtaking. Then, I kept running till the end point without any difficulty.

So here are my 3 conclusions:

1. If it's hard - we must be going uphill! 
2. Everything looks much better when you're at the top!
3. Once we've gone up - everything else is easy!

dedicated to all of you out there who may be struggling right now with something. It doesn't what it is in life, please remember: if things are difficult right now - it means you're going up. Once you're at the top you'll realize that it was worth it! :-)

Once you have your great idea - it's time to sit down and make a plan of action. A blueprint if you will. Without this blueprint you can be 100% certain that your idea will NOT become a reality. Before any construction begins, a detailed blueprint is made, which represents the ideas and concepts that the architect has formed. 

After your blueprint is completely finished - and NOT one second before that, the infrastructure work begins. You need to build a very solid foundation if you want to build a really big building (or business).

Once your foundation is completed you can build upon it - as big and as tall as you'd like! 

2014 is just around the corner. I would like to invite you to take the next 2-3 hours to really work on your plan for 2014. If you don't, your 8,760 hours will be spent building someone else's plan.... ouch...
